What We Do
Building psychological capital at work
We assist organisations to empower and mobilize their leaders and workforce towards strategic objectives.
In recent years General Psychology and Industrial Psychology have shifted to offer evidence-based methods and interventions derived from research in Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and Neuroscience – this science offers engaging and empowering methods and tools for developing people in the world of work.
Leadership Development
In today’s VUCA world of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity any theory of leadership development needs to be grounded in adult development theory.
Outsourced Talent Management
Our clients often struggle to implement talent management and performance management strategies, this is sometimes due to the absence of an HR department.
Strengths based coaching
Coaching interventions that are focussed on highlighting and utilising Mindfulness and Character Strengths as a gateway for optimal functioning and well-being in the workplace.
Mindfulness-based Interventions
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for the workplace.
Corporate breakaways
We offer corporate breakaway retreats to instil mindfulness and reboot character strengths. Also, Mindfulness based training in nature – Your “Mindful Nature” walk (4-day hike)
Psychometric/Sociometric Assessments
Pre and Post measurement and assessment to gauge strengths, latent potentials, development and transformational opportunities.
“Between the stimulus and response, there is a space and in that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
– Victor Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
How Do We Create Change
Our processes and interventions are derived from an integration of these concepts and methods.
Positive Psychology: is the scientific study of the conditions and processes that contribute to the optimal functioning of people, groups, and institutions.
Mindfulness: is a cultivated mental skill correlated with higher-order functioning. It is often defined as awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, in the service of focused attentiveness, self-understanding and wisdom.
Neuroscience: Cognitive neuroscience is the study of the biological processes that underlie cognition, with a focus on the neural connections in the brain which are involved in mental processes. This is an integration of neuroscience and psychology, overlapping with disciplines such as behavioral neuroscience, cognitive psychology, physiological psychology and affective neuroscience.
Neuroplasticity: is the neurobiological term which describes your ability to change, this is derived from the changes of brain structures (neural pathways and synapses) as a result of experiences. During such developmental changes, the brain engages in synaptic pruning, deleting the neural connections that are no longer necessary or useful, and strengthening the needed ones. This is how you develop new skills and have a new experience of yourself.
